Report: Colin Kaepernick has resumed throwing after surgeries

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has resumed throwing “a bit” as he continues his recovery from off-season surgeries, reports Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee.
Barrows reports Kaepernick could be cleared by doctors at the end of May or the beginning of June.
Kaepernick underwent surgeries on his right thumb and his left knee in January after previously undergoing left shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum in November.
He has attended every session since the start of the 49ers off-season program on April 4 as he works through his rehab, Barrows reports.

Kaepernick was the subject of off-season trade rumors and was most closely linked with a trade to the Broncos that was reportedly stalled over Kaepernick’s unwillingness to take a pay cut. Broncos general manager John Elway said the team’s pursuit of Kaepernick ended after drafting quarterback Paxton Lynch.
Trent Baalke, the 49ers’ general manager, declined to say whether San Francisco would continue to try to trade Kaepernick.
“We’ve answered this question a lot, and we’re moving forward with the guys that are on this football team,” Baalke said. “Colin’s on this football team and been a big part of this football team for a long time.”
