Cardinals place Veldheer, Momah on IR, add 2 players

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) The Arizona Cardinals have placed left tackle Jared Veldheer (torn triceps) and tight end Ifeanyi Momah (broken wrist) on injured reserve and made two moves to fill their places on the roster.

They signed guard Taylor Boggs and promoted safety Christian Bryant from the practice squad.

Boggs spent the preseason with Arizona before being released Sept. 3. He has played in seven career games with Chicago and Detroit since entering the league in 2011.

Bryant joined the Cardinals practice squad on Oct. 4 after spending the preseason with the Los Angeles Rams. He played in nine games for the Rams last season, his second in the NFL.

Arizona also signed linebacker Zaviar Gooden and tight end Brian Leonhardt to the practice squad and released guard/tackle Martin Wallace from the practice squad.
