NFL's Most Versatile Scorers
Terrelle Pryor
A starting-quarterback-turned-wide-receiver, Terrelle Pryor entered the final five games of the 2016 season with four scoring successes to his credit: Nine touchdown passes, four rushing, four receiving and one successful two-point conversion.
Antonio Brown
When he's not drawing excessive celebration flags for such antics as leaping on the goal post, Antonio Brown has proved he's one of the NFL's most versatile scorers. The speedy Pittsburgh receiver has reached paydirt 48 times on touchdown receptions through Week 12 of the 2016 NFL season, four times via punt return, once on a kickoff return and has three two-point conversions to his credit. His rarest scoring achievement was the three-yard TD pass he tossed to Lance Moore during a 30-23 victory over Houston in 2014.
Marcus Mariota
Just one week after he had the third-longest touchdown run by a quarterback in NFL history, Marcus Mariota added a rare QB touchdown reception on Dec. 13, 2015, when he hauled in this 41-yard pass from running back Antonio Andrews against the New York Jets. Through Week 12 of the 2016 season, Mariota had thrown 44 TD passes, run for four more and had a hand in two-point conversions.
Jarvis Landry
Jarvis Landy entered the 2015 season with only five touchdown receptions to his credit, but the second-year man's versatility was on full display that season. Through Week 12 of the 2016 season, Landry has 11 receiving TDs, has scored on a 69-yard punt return, a two-point conversion and a 22-yard run.
Russell Wilson
Through Week 12 of the 2016 NFL season, Russell Wilson had thrown 117 touchdown passes, run for 13 and had a hand in two-point conversions. He qualified for this fraternity when he caught a 15-yard scoring pass from Doug Baldwin during a Week 11 victory over Philadelphia.
Ted Ginn
The ninth overall pick in the 2007 draft, the speedy Ginn has 23 receiving touchdowns, two rushing TDs, four via punt return and three on kickoff returns.
Steve Smith
One of the fastest and toughest men in the NFL, Smith is a threat to score every time he touches the ball. Through Week 12, 2016, he had racked up 79 receiving touchdowns, two rushing scores, four on punt returns, two on kickoff returns and two two-point conversions.
Frank Gore
The bruising running back has proven he can score on the ground (74 rushing scores) and through the air (15 receiving touchdowns) in a career that has seen him suit up for San Francisco and Indianapolis. He even converted a two-point attempt in 2008. But in 2012 Gore upped the scoring ante by scooping up a fumble and returning it nine yards for a score against the New England Patriots in a thrilling 41-34 win.
Drew Brees
Saints quarterback Drew Brees has notched most of his scores through the air—458 touchdown passes—but he has also run for 16 more scores and converted two-point tries. While with the Chargers in 2003, he caught a 21-yard touchdown pass from LaDainian Tomlinson for his only receiving score.
J.J. Watt
J.J. Watt had a lot of fun in 2014 as the Houston Texans let their defensive end play a little offense and watched him score three times. He also has scored on a safety, a fumble return for touchdown and a pick six.
Andy Dalton
Through Week 12 of the 2016 NFL season, Andy Dalton had thrown 136 touchdown passes, run for 17 and had a hand in two-point conversions. What sets him apart from fellow quarterbacks, however, is that he's one of the few active QBs with a TD reception. His came during a September 2014 game against the Tennessee Titans, during which he caught a pass from wide receiver Mohamed Sanu, narrowly avoided a tackle by cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson and dove toward the pylon. He became the first quarterback in Bengals history to catch a touchdown pass.
Reggie Bush
The former USC Heisman trophy winner may be most well known for his running (36 TDs) and receiving (18 TDs) prowess, but he's proven to be even more versatile. The current Buffalo Bills running back returned four punts for touchdowns and converted three two-point conversion attempts during his five-year tenure with the New Orleans Saints.
Mohamed Sanu
Mohamed Sanu joined the fraternity when he scored on this 25-yard run against the Cleveland Browns on Nov. 5, 2015. He has 14 receiving touchdowns, one two-point conversion and has thrown two touchdown passes among his five passing attempts.
Dwayne Harris
Dwayne Harris returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown against Dallas in 2015, marking his fourth scoring variety. He has eight receiving touchdowns, three punt return scores and one two-point conversion through Week 12 of the 2016 season.
Darren Sproles
Darren Sproles has scored in five ways through Week 11 of the 2016 NFL season—29 receiving touchdowns, 20 rushing TDs, seven punt return TDs, two kickoff return TDs and two two-point conversions.
Devin Hester
Hester famously returned a missed field goal attempt 108 yards for a touchdown. He also has returned 14 punts for touchdowns, five kickoffs, made 16 scoring receptions and added a 20-yard rushing TD in 2014.
Jamaal Charles
In his 103 games as a Kansas City Chief, Jamaal Charles has 43 rushing scores, 20 via reception, one two-point conversion and a 97-yard kickoff return score, in 2009.
