51 Super Bowls: An SI Photographer's Collection

“I’ve never watched the game on television, I’ve had one of the most unique experiences in sports.” Sports Illustrated contributing photographer Walter Iooss Jr has been to now all 51 Super Bowls and has witnessed the extraordinary transformation of the NFL franchise. “Super Bowl III established the Super Bowl for me, with my favorite quarterback Joe Namath of the Jets and Johnny Unitas of the Colts. After that it started to become something like the Grammy’s.” Below are Iooss’s top moments from every Super Bowl played. From the bitter losses, to the victorious comebacks Iooss captures the spirit and excitement of one of the most recognizable championships in the world.
