Chris Johnson Agrees To 1-Year Deal With Arizona Cardinals

Chris Johnson is re-signing with the Arizona Cardinals on a one-year deal.

Chris Johnson will be returning to the Arizona Cardinals on a one-year deal, the team announced Thursday. ESPN's Adam Schefter was the first to report the deal.

Johnson, 31, has spent the last two years of his career with the Cardinals, but has only played in 15 games during that time. In 2015, Johnson started nine of the 11 games he played in before getting hurt, and losing the starting job to David Johnson.

Last season Johnson only played in four games before going on IR with a groin injury.

Johnson is going into his 10th season in the league and has rushed for 9,537 yards in his career. In 2009, his second season in the NFL, he rushed for 2,006 yards, becoming only the sixth player at the time to eclipse 2,000 rushing yards in one season.
