Former Chicago Bears kicker Cody Parkey signed with the Titans on Tuesday, Tennessee confirmed.

Parkey worked out for Tennessee in September after Ryan Succop was placed on injured reserve.

Parkey was released by the Bears in February after missing three extra point attempts and eight field goal tries in his lone season with the team. Parkey's biggest miss was a last-second, 43-yard attempt that would have defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in the playoffs. The kick  bounced off the left upright and then hit the crossbar before falling to the ground, giving Philadelphia the win.

Parkey went on the Today show after the 16–15 loss, an appearance that drew criticism from head coach Matt Nagy.

Parkey was on a four-year contract that included $9 million in guaranteed money with Chicago.
