Dolphins to Re-sign RB Raheem Mostert on Two-Year Deal, per Report

The Dolphins plan to re-sign running back Raheem Mostert on two-year, $5.6 million deal, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported on Tuesday.

With this new contract, Mostert is guaranteed $2.2 million, Pelissero added. The running back won't be able to officially sign the deal until Wednesday, March 15 at 4 p.m. ET when the league year officially begins.

Mostert is coming off one season with the Dolphins, in which he posted 891 rushing yards on 181 carries, both career highs, in 14 starts and 16 total appearances. He also scored three rushing touchdowns and caught 31 of 42 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns.

The 30-year-old’s longest tenure on a team was with the 49ers from 2016–21. He only started in nine of 46 game appearances in San Francisco, so the move to Miami allowed Mostert to earn a starting position.

The Dolphins made the playoffs for the first time since 2016 last season, but lost in the wild-card round to the Bills.
