Odell Beckham Jr. Refutes Report That He’s Seeking $20 Million per Year

With most NFL free agents off the board, Odell Beckham Jr. is once again the most prominent player on the market. The veteran recently worked out for teams as he tries to prove he is fully recovered from his torn ACL.

Even if he is healthy, there is a question of how much Beckham is worth on the open market. ProFootballTalk reported that Beckham Jr. is looking for at least $20 million a year on his next deal.

However, the wide receiver took to social media on Saturday to deny that report, saying that he was more interested in getting offers for more than $4 million right now.

Beckham could have signed with a team during the 2022 season, but instead chose to wait until free agency instead. That might have been an attempt to get more money on his next deal, and so far his asking price doesn’t seem to match what teams are willing to offer.

In a weak wide receiver market, Beckham came into free agency one of the more intriguing players available and is maybe the best pass catcher left. It appears as though he is willing to wait until a team reaches his asking price instead of taking the best current offer.
