Jets to Host Chiefs for ‘Sunday Night Football’ on Oct. 1, per Report

The NFL schedule is set to be formally released on Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET, but that hasn’t stopped reporters around the league from leaking key games for some of the NFL’s most intriguing teams.

The Jets are one of the media darlings of the offseason after acquiring quarterback Aaron Rodgers from the Packers. With Rodgers in tow as the team’s new starting quarterback, the Jets are expected to be seen in primetime plenty as they hope to be an AFC contender.

The season opening Monday Night Football matchup against Josh Allen and the Bills was revealed by the team on Thursday morning, and now it appears the Jets will be playing another early season primetime tilt against the Chiefs.

The Jets are set to make their first Sunday Night Football appearance since 2011 when they host the defending Super Bowl champions in the Meadowlands on Oct. 1, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post.

Expect plenty of nationally televised primetime games for Rodgers and the Jets when the team’s schedule is released in full on Thursday night.
