Levi’s Stadium, Home of the 49ers, Set to Host Super Bowl 60, per Report
The NFL has reportedly tabbed the host site for Super Bowl 60 in 2026, a decision that is expected to be finalized by league owners at their upcoming annual spring meetings in Minnesota.
NFL owners are reportedly set to award Super Bowl 60 to Levi’s Stadium, home of the 49ers, in Santa Clara, Calif. during their meetings from May 22 to 24, according to Ben Fischer of the Sports Business Journal.
The news of the expected decision follows a previous report from Fischer on April 13 noting the NFL and all involved parties reached “advanced discussions” in bringing the Super Bowl back to Levi’s hosting in three years time.
According to Fischer, Super Bowl 60 is believed have a “lower demand” around the NFL due to the number of NFL stadiums set to host FIFA World Cup matches later that year. As it stands, FIFA will utilize 11 NFL venues, including Levi’s Stadium, for the tournament, which begins in June.

With the decision expected to become final soon, the 49ers and their fans will soon be able to begin the countdown to the big game’s return to Santa Clara. Super Bowl 60 will mark the second time Levi’s Stadium will host a Super Bowl since it opened in 2014, with the first coming in 2016 when the Broncos beat the Panthers, 24–10 in Super Bowl 50.
The expected decision will also add the 49ers and Levi’s Stadium to the upcoming schedule of Super Bowl hosts, with the Raiders hosting Super Bowl 58 at Allegiant Stadium in 2024 and the Saints’ home Caesars Superdome hosting the following year.
