Patriots’ Isaiah Bolden Released From Hospital After Injury Scare

Patriots cornerback Isaiah Bolden was released from a Green Bay hospital Sunday morning and will travel home with the team, according to a press release.

During Saturday night’s preseason game against the Packers, Bolden was removed from the field by stretcher following a hit to the head in the fourth quarter. The rookie was taken to Aurora Bay Medical Center, where he spent the night for observation, but he had feeling in all of his extremities after leaving the game.

New England and Green Bay decided to suspend the game with just over 10 minutes to go as a result of the injury. Additionally, the Patriots canceled their joint practices with the Titans ahead of their preseason game in Tennessee this week. Instead of practicing with their next opponent on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Patriots will practice in New England, then travel to Nashville on Thursday ahead of Friday’s game.

Bolden was a seventh-round pick out of Jackson State and serves as a returner on special teams for New England along with playing in the defensive backfield.
