Cris Collinsworth, Mike Tirico Had Jokes About a Couple Getting Engaged at End of Cowboys-49ers Game

This was an interesting time to pop the question.

Love was in the air at the Cowboys-49ers game at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday evening, with a couple getting engaged moments after the end of one of the worst SNF games of the season. 

There are lots of places to ask someone to marry you. A sporting event doesn’t necessarily seem like the best one of those places, or even being close to the top of that list, but whatever—a 49ers fan dropped to one knee after his team’s 42-10 win and asked his significant other, who’s a Cowboys fan, to marry him, and she said yes. Hooray for love. 

The moment wasn’t lost on NBC announcers Cris Collinsworth and Mike Tirico, who had some fun with it before signing off for the night: 

"Would he have done it if the Cowboys had won? I don't think so. I think he's holding the ring. You can't start a marriage like that, with her having the upper hand. But 49ers win, 'Here you go, let's get married.'"

Congrats to the happy couple. I guess that’s one way for a Cowboys fan to forget about such an ugly performance.
