Jets Rule Sauce Gardner Out for Sunday vs. Eagles

Jets star cornerback Sauce Gardner will miss Sunday’s game against the Eagles with a concussion, the team announced on Saturday afternoon.

Gardner was added to the injury report late in the week as questionable with an illness, but the Jets disclosed on Saturday that it was a concussion that would hold him out against the high-flying Eagles offense.

The Jets are fresh off a win in Denver last Sunday, and were hoping to keep the momentum going against one of the best teams in football on Sunday. That task will become much more difficult without one of the league’s best players roaming their secondary.

New York Jets star cornerback Sauce Gardner will miss Sunday’s game with the Philadelphia Eagles due to a concussion, the team announced.

Through five games this season, opposing teams have opted to not even look in the direction of the field that Gardner has been covering.

Gardner has 20 total tackles, three passes defended and one forced fumble in 2023.

The Jets host the Eagles at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday.
