Aidan Hutchinson Showed Love to Lions’ Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown With Hilarious Shirt

Lions defensive lineman Aidan Hutchinson is seeking to lead a strong defensive presence in Sunday’s NFC showdown against the Buccaneers.

But ahead of Detroit’s clash against Tampa Bay, Hutchinson entered Raymond James Stadium donning a black Step Brothers-themed shirt featuring quarterback Jared Goff and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown in place of Will Ferrell and John Reilly in the classic image.

The popular 2008 movie displayed Ferrell (Brennan Huff) and Reilly’s (Dale Doback) process of living at home comes to an end when each of their parents gets married. However, the brothers’ narcissism threatens the new family dynamic, requiring them to come together to reassemble their family.

Hutchinson’s choice of shirts is hilarious considering the talented pass rusher was eight when the movie made its debut. Ironically, during the Lions' offseason training activities ahead of his rookie season, Hutchinson still lived with his parents in Dearborn, Mich., nearly 15 minutes outside of downtown Detroit. This was despite signing a four-year professional contract a couple of weeks after the 2022 NFL draft.

Hutchinson hopes to continue the hot start with his football brothers—Goff and Brown—as the driving force for a Lions’ defensive unit that is giving up only 21.4 points per game (15th in the NFL) and 292.8 yards allowed (seventh) that includes a measly 68.4 (third) on the ground.

The edge rusher is coming off an interception and a sack in the Lions’ 42–24 win against the Panthers in Week 5. He also became the third player—joining Shaquille Leonard and Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher—since 1982 to register 10 or more sacks and four or more interceptions in his first two NFL seasons.
