Report: Patriots to Start Mac Jones at Quarterback Against Giants

In this story:
Much has been made of the Patriots‘ quarterback controversy since their most recent game, an uninspiring 10–6 loss to the Colts on Nov. 12.
However, coach Bill Belichick has reportedly made a decision: per Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald, New England will start Mac Jones on Sunday against the Giants.
Numerous reports this week suggested that Belichick had played his decision close to the vest, with both Jones and quarterback Bailey Zappe drilling with the first-team offense.
Against Indianapolis, Jones completed 15 of 20 pass attempts for 170 yards and an interception. This season, the Alabama product has thrown 10 touchdowns against 10 interceptions in 10 games.
Zappe has seen time in three games for the Patriots in 2023, completing 10 of 25 pass attempts with an interception.
New England is currently 2–8 and in last place in the AFC East. The Patriots are on pace for their worst record since a 2-14 mark in 1992.
