Jake Browning Had to Leave Bengals-Colts Game Because He Didn't Drink Enough Water

Bobby Boucher would not be happy with the Bengals quarterback.

Bobby Boucher, Adam Sandler's character from the movie The Waterboy, would not be happy with Bengals quarterback Jake Browning. 

Browning had to leave Cincinnati's Week 14 game against the Colts early in the fourth quarter. At the time, it was termed a thumb injury. But the Bengals’ account on X, formerly known as Twitter, cleared things up, saying that Browning was dealing with cramps. 

After the game, Browning spoke to CBS Sports's Tiffany Blackmon about the cramps, explaining the simple reason why he was forced to leave the game. The Bengals signal-caller said that he "didn't drink water" because it was "cold."

Describing the reasoning for the cramps as “embarrassing,” Browning joked with reporters that his biggest takeaway from the Bengals’ victory was that he needs to “hydrate better.” 

“Pretty dumb. But just need to drink more water and electrolytes I guess.”

Surely this is the most relatable NFL injury ever, as the countless individuals declaring they will consume more H2O as their New Year's resolution would surely attest to. 

So far, water has proven to be the only thing that can slow down Browning, who has won both of the games he's started in place of the injured Joe Burrow, accounting for five total touchdowns in the process.
