Bill Belichick Shot Down Two Awkward Taylor Swift Questions as Patriots Get Ready to Host Chiefs

Bill Belichick may be a supporter of the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce power couple, but the legendary head coach clearly has no interest in discussing the music megastar now that the Chiefs are the next team on the Patriots’ schedule.

Belichick was asked a few questions jovially about Swift during an appearance on Boston radio station WEEI Monday morning, but the coach wasn’t having any of it. First, the host of the show asked jokingly about Belichick potentially getting him tickets for the game for a chance to see Swift, to which Belichick responded, in part, “I don’t really know anything about tickets.”

Taylor Swift watched Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs lose to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.

Then, Belichick was asked whether he would get a chance to meet Swift after the game. His response? Positively Belichick-ian.

“Yeah, I’m really focused on trying to get our team ready to play Kansas City,” Belichick said.

Here’s the full awkward exchange.

Earlier this year, Belichick went viral for a rare humorous moment, calling Swift the biggest catch of Kelce’s career. All that clearly fades away during game week, with the competitor in Belichick clearly far more focused on slowing down Kelce on the football field than who the star tight end is dating off the field.

We’ll see whether Swift ends up making the trip to Foxborough to see Kelce play. Either way, it seems like Belichick won’t be letting the star’s presence be a distraction.
