The 49ers and Seahawks filled out another chapter in their NFC West rivalry on Sunday, and the Week 14 matchup did not disappoint.

Despite being down to backup quarterback Drew Lock, the Seahawks pulled out every trick they had to keep pace with the 49ers’ thunderous offense, including one play that San Francisco fooled them with in 2022.

While Seattle kept things close for a while, eventually the 49ers started to pull away, and things between the teams got a bit feisty.

The San Francisco defense came down with what looked like a game-sealing interception and after scrambling to return the pick, the situation boiled over.

Linebacker Fred Warner had the ball in his hands, but was wrapped up by Seattle wide receiver DK Metcalf. After Warner flipped the ball to a teammate, Metcalf gave him a pretty healthy body slam. That slam led to some shoves back and forth, and ultimately, a fracas.

Metcalf was ejected for his role in the scuffle, and the 49ers held on to win 28–16, increasing their lead in the NFC West to four games..
