Jim Harbaugh to Face Brother John, Ravens in First Year As Chargers HC

Jim Harbaugh is officially returning to the NFL, as the veteran coach has agreed to become the new head coach for the Los Angeles Chargers. That means that the Harbaugh brothers will once again be coaching together in the NFL, and they won’t have to wait long to play each other.

In the 2024 seasons, the Chargers and Baltimore Ravens are scheduled to face off in Los Angeles at some point. While the schedule isn’t out yet, every NFL team already knows who their opponents will be next year.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh and 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh speak on the field before coaching against each other in the Super Bowl.

John Harbaugh and Jim Harbaugh last coached against each other in Super Bowl 47.

That game will mark the third time that the two brothers coached against each other, as it occurred twice while Jim was the San Francisco 49ers’ head coach. Of course, one of those matchups was in Super Bowl 47, when the Ravens defeated the 49ers, while the other game was on Thanksgiving night in 2011, also a Baltimore win.

The last time Jim Harbaugh coached in the NFL, he and his brother were in different conferences which limited how often they coached against each other. Now that Harbaugh is with a team that is also in the AFC, the pair may face each other more frequently.
