Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice achieved plenty of firsts in his rookie season in the NFL. Add another to the list.
In a video posted on his Instagram Story on Sunday, Rice was driving through his neighborhood in Kansas City when he came across a block parade set up specifically for him. A handful of his neighbors clad in Chiefs gear held up posters and rang bells to give Rice a proper Super Bowl send-off for his matchup against the San Francisco 49ers next weekend.
As he drove by, Rice rolled down his window and gave his neighborhood fan club a respectful wave.

Rice, a 2023 second-round pick, has blossomed into one of Patrick Mahomes’s most trustworthy targets behind Travis Kelce this past season and should play a key role in Super Bowl LVIII.
He had 79 catches for 938 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023 and made his biggest impact of the postseason in the wild-card win over the Miami Dolphins, when he racked up 130 yards and a touchdown.
The Chiefs and 49ers will play in the big game at Allegiant Stadium in Vegas on Feb. 11.
