Patrick Mahomes Promises Team Getaway if Chiefs Skip Super Bowl Parties, Beat 49ers

In this story:
Pretty much everyone knows the phrase, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas,” a clear reference to the temptations and vices widely available in Sin City.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes clearly had those distractions in mind during Monday’s opening night press conference at Allegiant Stadium as he provided his teammates with some added motivation for the upcoming matchup against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.
Mahomes emphasized that the team’s visit to Nevada is a “business trip” but revealed that he told teammates he would “bring everyone back to Vegas to celebrate” should Kansas City secure the Lombardi Trophy, per James Palmer of NFL Network.

Mahomes definitely can afford an extravagant celebration given his contract, which guarantees him a league-high $208.1 million from this season through the 2026 season.
That and the chance for the Chiefs to become the first team to win back to back Super Bowls since the New England Patriots in the 2003 and ’04 seasons, should be all the motivation Kansas City needs.
Kickoff between the Chiefs and 49ers is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET Sunday on CBS.
