Colts Agree to Contract Extension With WR Michael Pittman

The Indianapolis Colts have secured a key piece of their offensive core for the foreseeable future. No. 1 wide receiver Michael Pittman has agreed to a three-year deal worth up to $71.5 million with $46 million guaranteed, Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz reported Monday.

Pittman, 26, was Indianapolis’s second-round selection in the 2020 NFL draft out of USC. Shortly after the contract was reported, Pittman confirmed his deal to remain with the Colts on social media.

Pittman has caught 336 passes over 62 games in four seasons with the Colts, totaling 3,662 yards and 15 touchdowns. He’s coming off the best statistical season of his career, totaling 109 receptions for 1,152 yards and four touchdowns in 16 games.

Pittman completed his rookie contract last season, and the Colts had intended to use the franchise tag to keep him in Indianapolis. That no longer will be necessary, as the Colts now have their top wideout under contract through the 2026 season.
