49ers Roster Bubble Watch After Preseason Week 2

In this story:
Now that the San Francisco 49ers second preseason game has been completed, what does the roster bubble look like? Who are the locks and bubble players?
San Francisco 49ers Roster Bubble Projection 2.0
Quarterback
Locks (2): Brock Purdy, Mac Jones
Bubble (1): Kurtis Rourke
Out (1): Adrian Martinez
If Rourke is healthy he likely will have to make the team.
Running back
Locks (4): Christian McCaffrey, Jordan James, Kaleon Black, Kyle Juszczyk
Injury List (1): Isaac Guerendo
Out (3): Sincere McCormick, Zamir White, Khalil Herbert
McCormick is the next man up if James is not ready for Week 1. Black locked down the backup spot.
Wide Receiver
Locks (6): Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel, De’Zhaun Stribling, Demarcus Robinson, Jordan Watkins, Jacob Cowing
Injury List (1): Christian Kirk
Out (5): Will Pauling, Khadarel Hodge, Trenton Irwin, Malik Turner, Wesley Grimes
Kirk is below all six receivers even if he were healthy.
Tight End
Locks (3): George Kittle, Luke Farrell, Jake Tonges
Bubble (1): Brayden Willis
Out (2): Hayden Rucci, Josiah Deguara
The only question now is whether Willis makes it or Kittle is active.
Offensive Line:
Locks (7): Trent Williams, Robert Jones, Jake Brendel, Dominick Puni, Colton McKivitz, Carver Willis, Vederien Lowe
Bubble (5): Austen Pleasants, Enrique Cruz, Drake Nugent, Brett Toth, Connor Colby
Out (4): Nick Zakelj, Brandon Parker, Doug Kramer, Isaac Alarcon
Lowe needs to come back from the injury list, but if he is healthy, he is a lock. Colby moves from a lock to the bubble after his preseason.
Defensive Line
Locks (4): Alfred Collins, Osa Odighizuwa, Gracen Halton, CJ West
Bubble (3): James Thompson, Bryson Eason, Sebastian Valdez
Out (1): Evan Anderson
Valdez and Thompson are going to force the team to add an extra defensive lineman.
Edge Rusher
Locks (4): Nick Bosa, Romello Height, Keion White, Sam Okuayinonnu
Injury List (1): Mykel Williams
Bubble (1) Ogbo Okoronkwo
Out (3): Quinton Bell, Victor Dimukeje, Xavier Thomas
With Williams out perhaps the team is lighter on the edge, giving them room for an extra interior lineman.

Linebacker
Locks (6): Fred Warner, Dre Greenlaw, Nick Martin, Garrett Wallow, Luke Gifford, Jaden Dugger
Bubble (1): Tatum Bethune
Out (2): Jalen Graham, Larry Worth
All six of the locks worked ahead of Bethune, who should get trade calls.
Cornerback
Locks (5): Deommodore Lenoir, Renardo Green, Upton Stout, Ephesians Prysock, Jack Jones
Bubble (3): Nate Hobbs, Jakob Robinson, Darrell Luter
Out (1): Eli Apple
Hobbs injury has opened the door for Robinson and Luter, who had strong pre-seasons.
Safety
Locks (3): Ji’Ayir Brown, Malik Mustapha, Marques Sigle
Bubble (2): Siran Neal, Ashtyn Davis
Out (2): Jalen Stroman, Patrick McMorris
Neal did not play on defense, only special teams. Do they need a fourth safety on defense?
Special Teams
Locks (3): Corliss Waitman, Eddy Pineiro, Jon Weeks
Total Locks: 47
Total Bubble: 17
Total Out: 24
Injury List: 3
The team will likely have 17 players competing for six spots next week.
