In this story:

So the 49ers lost to an inferior Browns team in Week 6 -- that's never good. But the 49ers still are 5-1, they're still one of the best teams in the NFL, and several of their players' performed well in Cleveland.

Here are the top five 49ers whose stock went up in Week 6.

1.  RANDY GREGORY

He recorded a sack and three quarterback hits in just 26 snaps. This was his first game with the 49ers, and the best performance he's had in years. The 49ers will have to give him more playing time as the season progresses.

"I thought it was a positive one just getting out there," Shanahan said on Monday. "He has been in our scheme for two and a half practices up to that moment. To be able to get in there and make some plays, get in the sack and the TFL. I loved his length out there. I love what we saw. I think the more he gets with us, the more he practices, the more he understands our scheme, the better he'll get."

2. JORDAN MASON

Filled in for an injured Christian McCaffrey, gained 27 yards on 5 carries and scored a touchdown. Every time Mason gets an opportunity, he steps up. He has 64 career carries and is averaging 5.9 yards per attempt. He's a monster.

3. RAY RAY McCLOUD

Two runs. 23 yards. 11.5 yards per carry. Give Ray Ray the ball on offense. He filled in for an injured Deebo Samuel and played his position beautifully. He's an underused explosive weapon.

4. DEOMMODORE LENOIR

He slipped on a wet field and gave up a 58-yard catch, but things like that happen. What's important is that he bounced back and intercepted P.J. Walker in the second half which set up the 49ers final touchdown. Lenoir is giving up a passer rating of 66.9 this season. He's outstanding.

5. FRED WARNER

The early favorite for the MVP of the 49ers defense. Warner recorded his second pick of the season and is allowing a passer rating of 65.8.
