Concerning Matchups for the 49ers Against the Eagles

In this story:
The 49ers might have the best defensive line in the NFL. And this past Sunday, the Bills D-line dominated the Eagles offense for three quarters. Which means the 49ers D-line could do the same to the Eagles this Sunday in Philadelphia.
But in the fourth quarter and overtime, the Eagles offensive line completely wore down the Bills D-line and won the game. And that's because the Eagles never stop running the ball. Even when they're down double digits in the fourth quarter, they run the ball. They force the opposing defensive line to play physical, gritty football for 60 minutes, which is exhausting for the pass rushers. And that's a big reason Jalen Hurts plays so well in the fourth quarter and the Eagles are 27-2 in their past 29 games.
The Eagles have the best run-blocking offensive line in the NFL. They like to run to their left, where they have Jordan Mailata and Landon Dickerson at the point of attack. Combined, they weigh 700 pounds. They push people around. They also have one of the greatest centers ever, Jason Kelce, who's excellent at pulling and blocking in space.
Just a few weeks ago, the 49ers gave up 134 rushing yards to the Bengals, who rank 32 out of 32 teams in rushing yards per game. The Eagles rank 8th, one spot behind the 49ers who rank 7th. Last time these teams faced each other, the Eagles ran for 148 yards and 4 touchdowns. Advantage: Eagles.
The 49ers will need to take an early double-digit lead so they can try to make the Eagles a one-dimensional passing attack. Easier said than done.
