SEATTLE -- This is the live blog for the San Francisco 49ers' Week 15 Thursday night game against the Seattle Seahawks. I will update this frequently with information and analysis from the press box.

3:54 Here are the 49ers' inactives: Deebo Samuel, Jimmy Garoppolo, Samuel Womack, Tarvarius Moore, Curtis Robinson, Nick Zakelj, Kevin Givens.

3:56 Here are the Seahawks' inactives: Al Woods, DeeJay Dallas, Artie Burns, Tre Brown, Tony Jones Jr., Jake Curhan.

3:57 Woods is the Seahawks' starting nose tackle, and he's good, which means their putrid run defense should be even more putrid than usual tonight.

3:58 I expect the 49ers to run the ball at will in this game, but I'm curious to see how the 49ers defense performs. When these teams faced each other Week 2 in Santa Clara, Seattle's offense scored a whopping zero points (the Seahawks scored a touchdown on special teams). But in that game, the 49es had Javon Kinlaw and Emmanuel Moseley. Now those two are out, and their replacements are Akeem Spence and Deommodore Lenoir, respectively. Add in the fact that it's a short week and the 49ers are playing their first true road game in a while, and it's possible the 49ers defense won't play as well as it usually does. The last time the 49ers played in a stadium that wasn't mostly filled with 49ers fans was Week 3 in Denver when they lost. If the 49ers jump out to an early lead, they'll quiet the crowd, force the Seahawks to pass and win easily. But if it's a close game, the 49ers defense could wear down in the second half.

5:13 The 49ers win the toss and defer. The Seahawks will return the opening kickoff.

FIRST QUARTER

5:19 On 3rd and 13 from the Seahawks 13, the 49ers blitz, Geno Smith panics and throws the ball to no one, then Seattle punts. Ray Ray McCloud makes a fair catch at the Seahawks 10. The Seahawks ran the ball on the first play of the drive and gained five yards, then never ran again. Kerry Hyder is starting at defensive tackle.

5:24 On 3rd and 5 from the 49ers 15, Brock Purdy completes a 4-yard pass to Christian McCaffrey, and the 49ers go 3 and out. After the punt, the Seahawks take over at their 35.

5:29 On 3rd and 12 from the Seahawks 33, Geno Smith checks down to Noah Fant, whom Fred Warner tackles after a gain of just five, and the Seahawks go three and out. After the punt, the 49ers take over at their 14.

5:41 On 2nd and 8 from the Seahawks 28, Purdy fakes a screen pass to the left and another one to the right before hitting a wide open George Kittle over the middle for a touchdown. Phenomenal play design by Kyle Shanahan.

49ers 7, Seahawks 0.

5:45 On 2nd and 7 from the Seahawks 35, Talanoa Hufanga blitzes, blasts Geno Smith and forces a fumble. The Seahawks recover, then punt two plays later. On the punt, the Seahawks committ fair catch interference, which is a 15-yard penalty. They're on the ropes right now. The 49ers take over at midfield.

SECOND QUARTER

5:55 On 4th and 2 from the Seahawks 42, the 49ers punt instead of going for it. The 49ers are being conservative because they don't respect the Seahawks offense, which is fair. After the punt, the Seahawks take over at their 25.

5:57 On 3rd and 5 from the Seattle 30, Smith throws a swing pass to running back Travis Homer, who gains just 4 yards, and the Seahawks go three and out again. After the play, D.K. Metcalf is flagged 15 yards for taunting. Strange time to taunt. During the punt, the 49ers commit a holding penalty, so they'll start at their 24.

6:06 On 3rd and 9 from the 49ers 47, Brock Purdy throws low and behind Brandon Aiyuk who was running a comeback route on the outside. The pass died. Purdy completed his first nine pass attempts in this game but missed his last two on that drive. After the punt, the Seahawks take over at their 18.

6:17 On 3rd and 13 from the Seahawks 43, Geno Smith scrambles for 18 yards. Huge play. The Seahawks eventually make a 38-yard field goal, and they're right back in the game. It feels like the 49ers have had opportunities to put them away. In hindsight, the 49ers probably should have gone for it on 4th and 2 from the Seahawks 42.

49ers 7, Seahawks 3.

6:28 On 3rd and 11 from the 49ers 36, Purdy throws a pass directly to free safety Quandre Diggs who just drops it. Should have been an intereception. Purdy tried to zip the ball down the field over the middle and didn't have the arm strength to pull it off. After the punt, the Seahawks take over at their 19.

6:31 on 2nd and 6 from the Seahawks 34, Jimmie Ward and Dre Greenlaw strip the ball from Travis Homer, Charvarius Ward recovers and returns it to the Seattle 6-yard line.

6:33 On 2nd and goal from the 1, Christian McCaffrey scores. Easy. The Seahawks had their shot to make this a game and they dropped it.

49ers 14, Seahawks 3.

6:38 On 3rd and 4 from the Seahawks 37, Geno Smith throws a screen pass to Kenneth Walker who gains no yards. Then the 49ers call a timeout. After the punt, the 49ers take over at their 20 with 8 seconds left.

6:40 Brock Purdy takes a knee and the first half ends. The 49ers will get the ball to start the second half.

6:49 Purdy's near interception almost swung the game in Seattle's favor. His oblique is clearly bothering him and not allowing him to throw downfield. So Kyle Shanahan should stop calling downfield throws. Just dink, dunk, run and get out of town with a win.

THIRD QUARTER

6:55 On 2nd and 5 from the 49ers 46, the Seahawks forget to cover George Kittle, who runs straight downfield and catches a 54-yard touchdown pass. And this game is over. Great win for the 49ers, who will clinch the NFC West division with this win.

49ers 21, Seahawks 3.

7:08 On 3rd and 8 from the Seattle 27, Deommodore Lenoir intercepts Smith and returns the ball for a touchdown but score doesn't count because Nick Bosa committed a roughing-the-passer penalty. But Bosa atones for his mistake a few plays later by sacking Smith for an 11-yard loss on 2nd and 21 from the 49ers 34. The Seahawks eventually make a 51-yard field goal. They've scored just 6 points against the 49ers defense this season.

49ers 21, Seahawks 6.

7:18 On 3rd and 5 from the Seahawks 45, Purdy takes a hit as he throws an incomplete pass intended for Ray Ray McCloud in the flat. After the punt, the Seahawks take over at their 4.

FOURTH QUARTER

7:35 On 3rd and 4 from the Seahawks 35, Samson Ebukam sacks Geno Smith for a 9-yard loss and knocks the Seahawks out of field goal range. After the punt, the 49ers take over at their 1.

7:37 Charvarius Ward is being evaluated for a concussion.

7:41 On 3rd and 15 from the 49ers 10, Purdy scrambles to his left and throws a one-hopper to Ray Ray McCloud in the flat.

7:45 Ward has been cleared to return.

7:46 The Seahawks take over at their 46 after the punt. There is 10:38 left in regulation.

7:50 First play, Geno Smith commits an intentional grounding penalty. The Seahawks punt three plays later. After the punt, the 49ers take over at their 22.

7:58 On 3rd and 6 from the Seahawks 27, Brandon Aiyuk drops a pass over the middle. Next play, Robbie Gould misses a 43-yard field goal wide right. He didn't get much leg into that one. Bad miss. That field goal would have ended the game. Now the Seahawks take over at their 33 with 5:00 left.

8:05 On 2nd and 10 from the 49ers 33, the 49ers give up a 33-yard catch to Walker who caught the ball in the flat. Next play, the 49ers give up a touchdown catch to Noah Fant who was completely uncovered. Talanoa Hufanga should have been on him. It's a one-score game with 3:35 left.

49ers 21, Seahawks 13.

8:14 On 3rd and 2 from the 49ers 43, Jordan Mason runs it to the 1-yard line and the 49ers will take a knee and win. Stay tuned for their grades.
