Germaine Pratt: 'If Joe Burrow Gonna Be Around, Then I Need To Be Around Too'
CINCINNATI — Germaine Pratt officially re-signed with the Bengals on Tuesday morning and discussed how being so close to Super Bowl glory played a role in staying in Cincinnati.
"It's a huge factor," Pratt said about the team's success. "We were one play away in the Super Bowl and one play away from beating Kansas City, one stop, whatever the case may be, from going to the Super Bowl and winning a championship."
Pratt created the first big playoff moment for the franchise this decade with his interception of Derek Carr in the 2022 Wild Card round.
Now, he's ready to finish the job with Joe Burrow.
"Getting back to the Super Bowl, competing, and winning it," Pratt said about his top goals. "I got three years so we'll see what I can do with Joe (Burrow) for three years. ... If Joe Burrow gonna be around for a lot of years, then I need to be around too."
It also helps to have Lou Anarumo back in the fold, Bengals fans don't have to worry about the defensive coordinator leaving and taking Pratt with him.
"It may play into that," Pratt said with a smile about Anarumo's return factoring into his decision. "Will Lou come after me and let me play with him? Or do I come back? I don't know. To be determined."
Bengals fans won't have to worry about that, for a few years at least.
