Ja’Marr Chase On Joe Burrow’s Extension: He is ‘Ready To Keep His Weapons Around Him’
CINCINNATI — Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase appeared on Super Bowl Live this week with comments on Joe Burrow's upcoming contract extension.
Burrow is on track to command the highest average contract value in league history, but Chase isn't fretting about the quarterback losing his weapons due to financial constraints.
"I don't think Joe's really too worried about how much money he's gonna make because he's already making a tremendous amount," Chase said. "I think Joe knows what he wants and how he wants to set up his contract to keep some of his weapons around him. And I think that's the biggest part for him."
Burrow's second contract will largely determine how much talent the team can sprinkle elsewhere to capture that elusive first Bengals title.
The chase continues at the start of free agency next month.
