Mike Hilton on Statement Opportunity Against San Francisco: 'Turn Our Season Around With This One'
CINCINNATI — Mike Hilton is ready to roll for the rest of the Bengals season after the cornerback's bye week, with Cincinnati facing a daunting test out of the break.
Mike Hilton knows the Bengals can kickstart this season back up by getting over .500 on Sunday against San Francisco.
"That's a Super Bowl contending team over there," Hilton said on Monday. "They're 5-1 I believe, 6-1. We had an ugly start to the season so we can turn our season around with this one here. It's gonna be a good one Sunday."
Hilton's struggled to start the season but is coming off his best outing of the campaign in the win over Seattle, picking off his first pass of the season and allowing just 16 yards in coverage on three catches.
More perfromances like that should help Cincinnati's defense keep rounding into shape. They'll need all the good outings they can get against one of the most efficient offenses in the NFL.
"You want to see what type of things they are running and what they are dialing up. So we'll be paying close attention," Hilton said about watching the 49ers on Monday Night Football as they prepare for a short rest week.
