Cincinnati Takes Illinois Defensive Tackle in Latest Major Mock Draft
CINCINNATI — PFF's Max Chadwick posted his latest 2024 NFL Mock Draft and has the Bengals taking Illinois defensive tackle Johnny Newton at Pick 18.
Newton is the consensus 26th-best player overall and second-best defensive lineman.
"Defensive tackle is arguably the Bengals’ biggest need after losing D.J. Reader in free agency," Chadwick wrote. "Newton was incredibly productive over the past two seasons, leading all FBS interior defensive linemen in pressures (102) and run-defense stops (55)."
The consensus big board still has Alabama offensive tackle J.C. Latham as the most mocked option for the Bengals at Pick 18 (picked in 19% of mocks over the last two weeks).
