Chidobe Awuzie Expected to be Game-Time Decision in Sunday's Game vs Cardinals

The veteran corner suffered a back injury in practice this week.

CINCINNATI — Bengals cornerback Chidobe Awuzie is expected to be a game-time decision on Sunday after suffering a back injury in practice earlier this week. 

Ian Rapoport shared the news about the Bengals top cornerback. 

Awuzie, 28, has 14 tackles this season. He tweaked his back in practice on Thursday. 

If he can't play, then rookie DJ Turner II will start at corner alongside Cam Taylor-Britt and Mike Hilton. 

Turner has been on the field for 44% of the Bengals' defensive snaps this season. He has four tackles, one pass defensed and has been solid in coverage. 

The Bengals will already be without Tee Higgins for Sunday's "must-win" game against the Cardinals.
