Tyler Boyd on Outside Doubt Surrounding Bengals: 'All Trying to be on Our Bandwagon' in 10 Weeks
CINCINNATI — Tyler Boyd got his crystal ball out on Wednesday with an optimistic prediction about the Bengals' bandwagon.
The veteran wide receiver is averaging a career-low 7.5 yards per catch as the whole offense tries to get rowing in the right direction.
"For me, I don't care about the outsiders or the social media," Boyd said on Wednesday. "I think it's funny because 10 more weeks from now they're gonna be all trying to be on our bandwagon and trying to be a part of what we overcame and going to start saying, 'Yeah, I told you so. I knew you was gonna do this.' but at the end of the day, we gotta do it, you know, regardless if they bandwagon or not... Everybody gonna say what they say. And, I mean, we're not playing good football. We got to pick it up."
Boyd and Joe Burrow nearly connected on a rare deep pass this season down the seam, but the ball just narrowly went out of Boyd's reach against the Titans. Cincinnati is one of the NFL's worst teams when it comes to NFL explosive play totals this season.
