Bengals Land Big-Time Right Tackle in Free Agent Mock Draft
CINCINNATI — The Bengals' offensive line is facing multiple questions going into the 2023 offseason.
Will La'el Collins recover from his torn ACL? Is Jonah Williams the long-term solution at left tackle?
Collins played OK in his first season in Cincinnati, but he's going to be 30-years-old in July and coming back from a torn ACL. Given his injury history, adding another proven right tackle makes sense.
The Bengals sign Mike McGlinchey in CBS Sports' 2023 NFL free agency mock draft.
"Forever in search of a stable O-line for Joe Burrow, the Bengals may part ways with La'el Collins at right tackle, which would open a job for McGlinchey, a 49ers starter of the last five years," Cody Benjamin wrote. "While not flawless, with an injury history of his own, McGlinchey has been an above-average blocker when healthy. That counts for a whole lot in the NFL."
The Bengals liked McGlinchey in the 2018 NFL Draft, but he was off the board (ninth overall) long before they were on the clock. They could target the 28-year-old next month.
