Bengals Send Carlos Dunlap Home, As Trade Talks Continue
CINCINNATI — The Bengals told Carlos Dunlap to stay home on Wednesday according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
This gives the organization time to figure out his future and prevents him from being a distraction in the locker room.
The Bengals are fielding trade offers for the disgruntled defense end.
Dunlap, 31, has made his unhappiness clear in interviews with reports, on social media and on the sideline. He yelled at an assistant coach at the end of Cincinnati's 37-34 loss to Cleveland.
The two-time Pro Bowler even posted a picture from the Bengals' depth chart.
"Bengals depth chart update: 'Stand Down And Stand By' is what this tells me," Dunlap wrote on Instagram. "Zac/Lou they got an experiment, but I don't got time for this."

Dunlap wants to play elsewhere and the Bengals appear to be willing to grant him his wish. Now whether they trade him or release him is another story.
NFL teams know that Dunlap wants out. They know that he's unhappy in Cincinnati. That hurts the Bengals' chances of getting anything of value for him in a trade.
Instead, Cincinnati might be forced to take much less than they would've had they traded him a few months ago.
Dunlap is in his 11th season with the Bengals. He has 82.5 career sacks and 490 total tackles. He has one sack and 18 tackles this season.
If Cincinnati finds a trade partner, they'll probably have to settle for a late-round draft pick for the former star edge rusher.
The trade deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 4 p.m. ET.
