Joe Burrow on Bengals Avoiding Another Slow Start: 'Got to Get One on The Board This Week'

CINCINNATI — Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow recognizes how important a win is this week as Cincinnati looks to avoid another 0-2 start like last season.

It's all about being 1-0 each week.

"Yeah, we're trying to go 1-0 every single week," Burrow said about avoiding another slow start. "Especially in these division games, so we got to get one on the board this week. We're gonna work hard to make that happen. We just got to be 1-0 this week."

Burrow threw for a career-low 82 yards on Sunday a year after he turned the ball over a career-high five times against the Steelers in the 2022 Week 1 loss. Still, he's largely played at an MVP level outside of those games as the NFL's all-time leader in completion percentage.

We'll find out what kind of bounce-back outing he has in store under 75-degree, sunny skies on Sunday.
