NFL Network's Peter Schrager Names Cam Taylor-Britt Among 2023 Breakout Candidates

In this story:
CINCINNATI — The Bengals are relying on some young pieces in the new-look secondary and one of those key names is cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt.
Good Morning Football analyst Peter Schrager has the second-year cover man as one of the 10 breakout stars for the 2023 season.
"I think that number one corner job is wide open in the NFL this year," Schrager said on the show. "Cam Taylor-Britt might want to challenge Sauce Gardner to be in that conversation. This is the playoffs last year against Buffalo. Both he and Dax Hill are the two young guys in Lou Anarumo's defensive backfield and they are getting a ton of buzz this summer."
CTB had a nice postseason in coverage. He tallied a 79.6 PFF grade in the playoffs, allowing four catches for 33 yards and one interception on 13 targets.
"Cam Taylor-Britt comes out of Nebraska second-year guy, young, and yet he is looked at in Cincinnati as the future," Schrager concluded. "Both he and Dax Hill first-round picks guys that can get this thing done. Jason McCourty I would love to hear your thoughts because he started picking it up as the season went on and later in the year against Kansas City, he saved his best for last. Second-round pick out of Nebraska started his final 12 games, including the playoffs, only 23 years old."
Britt is locked in as a starting outside cornerback opposite Chidobe Awuzie as the 2023 season gets rolling in less than two weeks.
