Report: Bengals Hold In-Person Meeting With UC Linebacker Ivan Pace Jr.

Cincinnati also met with him at the NFL Combine.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals met with Cincinnati star linebacker prospect Ivan Pace Jr. in person ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Justin Melo reported the news after Pace also met with the Bengals at the NFL Combine.

The QB howitzer became UC's first unanimous All-American player last season and was the only player in college football to post at least 20 tackles for loss, 10 sacks and three forced fumbles in 2022.

Pace is the 149th-ranked player on the consensus big board and the 12th-best linebacker.

He is Dane Brugler's ninth-ranked linebacker.

"Pace is undersized and faces questions about his ability as an every-down player in the NFL, but he is instinctive with the play speed, urgency, and contact balance to consistently affect the game with his effort," Brugler wrote in his draft guide. "His exact NFL position fit will be different from scheme to scheme, but it will be important for him to carve out a role on special teams to secure a roster spot."
