Bills vs. Jets Schedule Reveal: Josh Allen vs. Aaron Rodgers in Monday Night Football Opener

The Buffalo Bills and New York Jets are beginning their season under the bright lights of prime time.

Now that Aaron Rodgers is in the AFC East, there's only one way to kickoff his fresh-looking debut this fall.

The Buffalo Bills will visit Rodgers and the New York Jets on Monday, Sept. 11 at MetLife Stadium for a Week 1 battle on Monday Night Football, the Bills officially announced on Thursday. The game will kickoff at 8:15 p.m. ET.

The anticipation of Rodgers facing off with Allen and Buffalo will only continue to build throughout the rest of the offseason, but luckily fans won't have to wait long before their first meeting in what should be a thrilling division rivalry over the next few seasons.

As of Thursday morning, an additional Monday Night game in Week 1 hasn't been revealed. The league has made it a new tradition to have a Monday Night double-header to open the season. For now, the Bills and Jets have the spotlight.

The entire NFL schedule is set to be released on Thursday evening, though multiple early reveals have been adding excitement leading up to it. This newest Bills-Jets reveal might be the most enticing yet. Other major matchups already released has been the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Detroit Lions on Thursday, Sept. 7 and the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13 on Dec. 3.

The Bills also found out on Wednesday that their game in London will be played in Week 5 on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 9:30 a.m. ET.
