Josh Allen Shares Special Vision for What His Daughter Will See from 2026 Bills

What does Josh Allen hope to see during his first NFL season as a father?

The 2026 season has been filled with change for the Buffalo Bills, Josh Allen included.

That was always going to be the case with this being the first year in the new Highmark Stadium after saying goodbye to the stadium they have called home since 1973. The change has gone well beyond this, however, thanks to some major adjustments to the coaching staff.

Sean McDermott was fired after nine seasons and replaced by offensive coordinator Joe Brady. The first-year head coach also employs a new staff, led by offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael, defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard, and special teams coordinator Jeff Rodgers.

The roster itself has undergone some change as well. Key players such as Josh Allen, James Cook, Khalil Shakir, Ed Oliver, and Greg Rousseau remain in place but Buffalo added several new faces. Players such as DJ Moore, Bradley Chubb, and C.J. Gardner-Johnson are bringing new hope to a franchise trying to break through the playoff wall.

Off the field, their biggest star is also going through massive changes in his life.

Josh Allen and his wife, Hailee Steinfeld, welcomed their first child this year. We wrote about how the new dad chose to forego his annual American Century Championship golf tradition back in July.

Entering his first season as a father, Allen hopes he can make some special memories for his daughter, Harper. While speaking with Kyle Brandt, Allen was asked what he hopes to tell his daughter happened during this season. Allen said he hopes he can tell her how strong the team was and how their bond led to a title.

“Well, hopefully she's sitting there saying, this picture of you holding me on the field under the confetti is pretty cool. So that's, that's the vision that I have,”Allen said.

“And what I'll tell her is we worked really hard and this is a team that loved each other and accomplished something so great, and that's, that's sometimes what it takes. It takes a lot of sacrifice from those around you, everybody in the building here, outside, all of our wives and girlfriends making sacrifices for us to come out here and do what we do.”

Allen and the Bills have been to the playoffs in seven consecutive seasons but have yet to make it to the Super Bowl. Twice they were in the AFC Championship Game but fell short.

They had a golden opportunity this past season with teams such as the Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, and Baltimore Ravens out of the playoffs. Unfortunately, they still fell short, which was a huge reason for the many changes. Now, Allen and the rest of the Bills franchise. Hope those changes lead to the type of success they can still be excited about decades from now.
