Proposed Trade Has Buccaneers Trading Devin White for Electric Broncos Wide Receiver

In a proposed trade by NFL Analysis Network's Kenneth Teape, the Buccaneers and Denver Broncos could end up swapping star players.

The saga surrounding Tampa Bay Buccaneers' linebacker, Devin White, and the Bucs' front office has been prevalent throughout this NFL offseason since White made his intentions clear that he would like to be traded following the lack of conversations moving forward on a contract extension.

With the constant tug-of-war between the two sides, White has since settled down on pursuing a trade at the moment but could hold out of offseason workouts to force the Buccaneers' hand. However, if the Bucs don't decide to trade him, White could sit the season out (hurting himself) or suit up and play to hopefully receive the contract he has his eyes set on either to remain in Tampa Bay or head elsewhere.

If the Bucs do indeed decide to move forward in pursuing a trade for White, NFL Analysis Network's Kenneth Teape proposed a trade that would send White to Denver to join Russell Wilson and the Broncos in exchange for a dynamic wide receiver, Jerry Jeudy, a fifth-round pick in 2024 along with a second and fourth-round pick in 2025.

"Denver has been mentioned as a potential landing spot for the talented linebacker and the fit makes sense. White would be a fit in Vance Joseph’s scheme and he also has a history of finding success against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, something the Broncos will need to do to compete in the AFC West."

"What could a trade between the Broncos and Buccaneers look like? Short on draft capital again next year, Denver would have to think long and hard about making an offer. They could get aggressive, flipping their 2024 first-round pick for White, but that would leave them without a selection in the first three rounds next year."

"If the Broncos want to hold onto that first-rounder, they could offer a fifth-round pick in 2024 with a second and fourth-rounder in 2025. That could be a tough sell for Tampa Bay, who is staring down a roster reset after Tom Brady’s retirement with a capped-out, older roster."

Teape is spot on here. The trade proposal makes sense from both sides as the Broncos are looking to do all they can to win sooner rather than later and the Buccaneers looking head-on at a rebuild to hopefully compete for the playoffs in the soon-to-come years.

For the Broncos, adding a star linebacker in White would beef up their already stout defense to be able to stop the high-powered offenses out west. And as for the Buccaneers, they would be getting an above-average WR3 in Jeudy who has yet to have the opportunity to really flourish in an offense.
