Budda Baker Frustrated With Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker is making everybody aware of his frustration with the team on social media.

Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker is perhaps the most liked/respected member of the team, thanks to a variety of factors.

Baker anchors Arizona's defensive backfield and does a pretty good job of that, too. All-Pro and Pro Bowl nods aren't just one-time appearances on his resume. He's considered to be in top echelon of safeties in the NFL.

Baker is well liked, too. His personality shines on and off the field which has helped so many fans covet him. He's a great guy who does things the right way and has stuck through some fairly bad teams in Arizona - if any current Cardinals player deserves to see a Lombardi in their career, it's hard to make arguments against him being No. 1.

Baker has shown a devout sense of loyalty to the Cardinals organization, which is why everybody was seemingly shocked when he took his affiliation with Arizona out of his Twitter bio and tweeted the following:

For context, that's a clip of Michael Jordan talking during The Last Dance documentary about using disrespect as fuel.

Baker, for whatever reason, feels disrespected by the Cardinals. Kyle Odegard reported, "I’ve asked around, and yeah, that Budda Baker MJ tweet is very likely about unhappiness with the Cardinals."

Perhaps that comes in the heat of potential contract extensions. Baker (27) has two years left on his deal. Do the Cardinals want him to stick around for a rebuild? Does he himself want to be a part of that?

Those are all questions that will only be answered with time. As we approach the 2023 NFL Draft, it's clear that the Cardinals again have more off-field issues to sort through.
