ST Coach Jeff Rodgers Reportedly Staying in Arizona

The Arizona Cardinals have made some noise in terms of their coaching staff, but it looks like special teams coach Jeff Rodgers will reportedly stay with the team.

The Arizona Cardinals have seen some changes within their coaching staff within the last week.

The team hired Jonathan Gannon and officially introduced him on Thursday. Just days later, the Cardinals found their offensive coordinator (Drew Petzing) and defensive coordinator (Nick Rallis).

There's been some questions about the rest of the coaching staff, though we've already seen a handful of position coaches depart the team.

Fresh blood is inevitable across the board, yet one familiar face seems to be staying around.

NFL Media's Ian Rapoport is reporting that Cardinals special teams coach Jeff Rodgers will remain on Gannon's staff for the 2023 season.

Rodgers (44-years-old) got his start in the NFL back in 2003 as a special teams quality control coach for the San Francisco 49ers.

In 2018, he joined the Cardinals as their special teams coordinator and has been with the team ever since, even occupying the title of assistant head coach from 2019 moving forward.

Like Rapoport pointed out in the tweet above, this will be Rodgers' third staff in Arizona, as he worked under Steve Wilks, Kliff Kingsbury and now Gannon.
