Colt McCoy One of Betting Favorites to Replace Aaron Rodgers

In this story:
Former Arizona Cardinals QB Colt McCoy could potentially see a new opportunity in 2023.
McCoy - surprisingly cut from the Cardinals at the end of preseason play - is now a free agent at 37-years-old.
It's rare for a player to find a landing spot in Week 2 to immediately land in contention to start, though McCoy could very well land in the Big Apple.
The New York Jets will be without Aaron Rodgers for the remainder of the year after he suffered a season-ending Achilles injury on his first official drive with the team. For a squad many considered to be Super Bowl contenders, getting a reputable quarterback to fill the void could very well make a difference.
According to BetOnline, McCoy is one of the betting favorites to land with New York:
Who Will be the Next QB NY Jets Sign or Trade for?
Nick Foles 3/1
Colt McCoy 4/1
Taysom Hill 5/1
Davis Mills 7/1
Carson Wentz 8/1
Cooper Rush 10/1
Other names: Teddy Bridgewater 12/1, Taylor Heinicke 14/1, Case Keenum 16/1, Marcus Mariota 18/1, Tom Brady 20/1, Jameis Winston 22/1, Jacoby Brissett 25/1, Josh Johnson 25/1, Mason Rudolph 28/1, Tyrod Taylor 33/1, Andy Dalton 35/1, Gardner Minshew 40/1, Joe Flacco 40/1, Matt Ryan 50/1, Russell Wilson 75/1, Ryan Fitzpatrick 75/1, Andrew Luck 100/1, Tim Tebow 150/1
Colin Kaepernick reportedly reached out for the opportunity, too.
Could the Jets still roll with Zach Wilson? The overtime win could certainly buy him extra time, though McCoy's experience could pay dividends in New York.
The Cardinals themselves are rolling with Josh Dobbs for a second consecutive week after trading for him in a near subsequent move with McCoy.
"Just like with every decision, you look at the full body of work. [We] Evaluate our guys, production goes into that and felt like it was the best decision for the team to move forward with the guys that we have in the room to help win us a football game," said Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon after the team cut McCoy.
McCoy reportedly had elbow surgery in the offseason and threw just 12 passes during the preseason.
