How Cardinals Can Benefit From Bears Trading No. 1 Pick

In this story:
The Arizona Cardinals earned the No. 3 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft after a dismal 4-13 season, and there's some serious playmakers that could be available for general manager Monti Ossenfort to begin a new era of Cardinals football with.
Yet Arizona will be at the mercy of the two teams ahead of them, as the Chicago Bears (No. 1) and Houston Texans (No. 2) hope to snag a franchise-altering player of their own.
With a slew of top quarterback prospects available, current expectations believe somebody in the likes of Alabama's Bryce Young will be one of the top picks in the draft, if not No. 1.
The Bears - who already have Justin Fields at quarterback - could cash in on the value of a top pick for a wealth of draft picks from whoever can piece together the highest bid.
ESPN's Adam Schefter says right now, Chicago is "leaning" towards trading away the pick.
"The Chicago Bears have been approached by multiple teams about trading the No. 1 pick in this year's NFL draft, and Chicago is said to be "leaning toward" moving the pick," said Schefter.
Teams in the top ten who could look to move up are the Texans at No. 2, Indianapolis Colts (No. 5), Las Vegas Raiders (No. 7), Atlanta Falcons (No. 8) and Carolina Panthers (No. 9).
Should the Bears move down with one of those teams (preferably anybody but Houston), the Cardinals will benefit.
Much like Chicago, Arizona already believes they have their franchise quarterback in Kyler Murray. At minimum, they're paying him as such. Thus, the Cardinals will be looking to add a top prospect that isn't a passer.
Prospects expected to go in the top five: Alabama QB Bryce Young, Georgia DL Jalen Carter and Alabama EDGE Will Anderson.
If the Bears were to stay put at No. 1, it's believed Carter would end up in Chicago. Many hold him as the top player in the draft, and for good reason when you watch him wreck games on a weekly basis.
The Bears moving out of No. 1 would essentially guarantee a top quarterback prospect (Young, Will Levis, CJ Stroud, etc.) goes to whoever wins those sweepstakes.
Houston - another QB needy team - may also take a quarterback as well.
With a passer going in the top two picks, that pushes other top talent down to the Cardinals at No. 3.
There's been some debate about what Arizona will actually do with said pick. Some think Ossenfort (with his extensive background in New England) will look to move down while others believe Carter/Anderson will be the pick (Texas Tech's Tyree Wilson is also being rumored).
Regardless, the Cardinals can cash in on a quarterback heavy top of the draft order. An elite defender to help turn Arizona's defense around is now likely to fall to their lap.
