Fans of the Los Angeles Chargers have come to grow a strong bond with Keenan Allen and Mike Williams and rightfully so. Both have been with the Bolts their entire careers (Allen since 2013 and Williams since 2017) and have held down the wide receiver slots to a crisp.

LA is definitely looking to add more options to the table though in terms of who Justin Herbert can hit on the field. Allens and Williams took up the majority of receptions last year with Austin Ekeler, who might not even be on the squad soon, and the playoffs showed that they need more than just that. In recent owner's meetings, the Chargers' front office revealed that they want to prioritize speed but also want well-rounded players.

It's almost certain that they will look to improve these positions through the 2023 draft but they could also look to do so through the trade market. Obviously, Ekeler is their prime piece right now and they have other guys on tradable contracts as well. It just so happens that a certain 27-year-old receiver from the AFC East has become available.

"Update: The #Dolphins are open to trade WR Cedrick Wilson, per @flasportsbuzz."

"Wilson signed a 3-year, $22 million contract with Miami last season after catching a career high 45 passes for 602 yards and 6 TDs with the #Cowboys in 2021."

"Trading Wilson will save $7 million in cap savings."

Cedrick Wilson began his career with the Dallas Cowboys and had his best season in 2021. He served to be one of Dak Prescott's number one targets caught 45 passes en route to a wild card appearance.

The Cowboys let him walk after that year and he joined the Miami Dolphins a three-year deal worth about $22 million. However, now that they are open to trading him after just one season, LA could jump on that and add another receiver on a smaller deal. Even thought they are saving for an extension coming soon, LA is still among the teams with more cap space and could get it done.

The draft could always lead to stumbling upon gems but Wilson has already shown what he could do with a solid quarterback.
