Players on the Roster Bubble to Track in Chargers' Preseason Finale vs. Saints

In this story:
The Chargers will play their third and final preseason game Friday night against the Saints at the Caesars Superdome for a 5 p.m. kickoff. It will provide players on the roster bubble one final opportunity to plead their case that they belong on the team's 53-man roster.
Here are five players to track:
WR Michael Bandy
It's been a strong training camp for Michael Bandy, and his play has translated quite nicely over into the preseason. He leads the team in receptions (15), receiving yards (142) and receiving touchdowns (2) entering the preseason finale. He's unequivocally proven to be deserving of an NFL roster spot. However, the Chargers sit particularly deep at wide receiver, putting Bandy's spot on the roster in question. Bandy also offers return ability on special teams, which certainly will factor into the Chargers' decision of whether or not he makes the roster.
DL Breiden Fehoko
Similar to how the Chargers stack up at wide receiver, the interior defensive line group includes a long list of options. Breiden Fehoko has turned in a strong camp, playing with high energy that has rubbed off on his teammates. Fehoko has been a force against the run during team drills in camp, making a case that he belongs on the squad to anchor the middle part of the defensive line in a depth role.
OLB Jamal Davis
The Chargers have a lot of questions to weigh for their edge depth? Joey Bosa, Khalil Mack and Chris Rumph are pegged as the top three edge players, but does Kyle Van Noy's versatility prevent them from wanting to keep another true edge defender? Jamal Davis has come on strong the last two weeks. In two preseason games, Davis has recorded eight tackles, two tackles for loss and two quarterback hits. With another stout effort in the preseason finale, the Chargers' will have to think twice about what Davis' future entails.
CB Deane Leonard
It's been an up and down camp for seventh-round pick Deane Leonard. Early on, he showed optimism during team drills, coming up with timely pass breakups. But the last two weeks have been quite rocky. Leonard has been a victim of missing tackles and being out of position in the preseason, leading to noteworthy plays by opposing offenses. Leonard needs to close out the preseason on a high note in hope of securing the final cornerback spot on the roster.
