Chargers News: Chiefs Newest Addition Expected To Be a Full-Go For Sunday's Division Showdown

Earlier this week, the Kansas City Chiefs made a trade to bring back wide receiver Mecole Hardman from the New York Jets. Hardman left the Chiefs this offseason, but the team decided that they needed him back in their offense.

It was a question mark of whether he would play in the game against the Los Angeles Chargers this weekend, but now it seems he will suit up. Head coach Andy Reid provided an update on Hardman and defensive end Charles Omenihu.

Kansas City getting Hardman back could see their offensive production increase heavily. He was a key part of their team for the past few years and has chemistry with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

The defensive game plan for the Chargers just got that much tougher, as they now have to plan for Hardman, too. Luckily for them, they have seen him plenty of times over the years, and they have a ton of tape against him.

While he isn't the best wide receiver available, he gives the Chiefs another weapon on the field. He can space the field out, so the Bolts will need to make sure they keep track of him at all times.

Last season for the Chiefs, Hardman caught 25 catches for 297 yards and four scores. In his lone game against the Bolts a year ago, Hardman caught three balls for 49 yards.

LA will have their hands full with the Chiefs this weekend, but this is a game that they feel ready for. They are embracing the challenge of going on the road against the defending champions, as they need to get a win to turn their season around.
