In this story:

The Los Angeles Chargers offense is one of the best around the NFL, and they have the potential to be great. They don’t always show it, which is a problem, but when they are clicking—it is tough to stop.

One reason is the play of veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen, who continues to get better each passing week. He has already put together another great season and has been the leader for this Bolts-wide receiving group all year.

Especially with his co-star Mike Williams out for the season, Allen has stepped up his game to help the team. Each week he amazes with what he can do and is the lifeblood of this Bolts offense.

However, heading into this weekend, Allen hasn’t been 100%. He suffered a shoulder injury against the Detroit Lions last week, and there is a chance that he will miss the game against the Green Bay Packers.

Quarterback Justin Herbert praised Allen for the way he approaches the game, and he knows that LA wouldn’t be the same without him.

“He’s about as tough as it gets,” Herbert said of Allen, whose absence would be felt if he cannot play Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, or if he’s at anything less than 100% “The team leader, the player, the teammate, he does everything for us. We’re so lucky to have him and I’m so lucky to be able to throw it to him because he’s one of the best ever to do it. He’s a true professional.”

If Allen is forced to miss, it would be a massive blow to the Bolts this weekend. They have dealt with a ton of injuries to their wide receivers this season already, and with such an important game coming up, they need Allen on the field.

Of course, they won’t force anything with him, but the hope is that he can play. He was able to return to practice this week, but it likely will be a close call for his playing status.

Allen is a competitor, so he will try to play through the injury if needed. But the hope is that he will be a full go because quite frankly, they need him.
