Chargers News: NFL Columnist Believes LA's Pro Bowl Lineman is Key to Team's Success

In this story:
Offensive production is going to be the least of the Los Angeles Chargers worries in the 2023 season and (knock on wood) I think that their new system along with a multitude of options will help them maintain their health tremendously compared to last year.
Herbert is locked in like never before and while other stars in his shoes would be concerned about getting an extension done, he was prioritizing getting his shoulder healthy and hitting the field with the rest of his teammates. Even Quentin Johnston, who will be entering his rookie season, is already looking super healthy and should get some solid reps when he gets the chance,
This catch by Quentin Johnston was too CLEAN 🔥

Justin Herbert said in a recent interview that he can already tell Johnston is going to be something special.
Herbert also said he sees Johnston making “a lot” of plays this season.

But in order for the Bolts to truly develop into contenders as the new season kicks off, they have to be dominant of both sides of the field. Their defense have never been among the bottom-feeders of the league but they have had enough holes over the past couple of seasons to where other squads take advantage of them down the stretch.
Well, LA is hoping that newly-added LB Eric Kendricks can help change all of that. Weighing in at 227 lbs, he possesses enough strength to hold back anybody blitzing but also isn't slow to where he gets beat off of the jump.
"He's going to help make our culture even better, even stronger."

Head coach Brandon Staley has been beyond excited to welcome him in.
"For a player of his caliber, of his accomplishments — he's an All-Pro, Walter Payton Man of the Year, this is one of the top players that has position over an entire decade — so that respect means a lot," Staley said. "I'm really happy that he's proud to be a part of us. I love that the fact he's fit in so well with his teammates."
