The Kansas City Chiefs again are linked to taking an offensive tackle in the 2025 NFL Draft; this time, he's a Texas product.

It has become a revolving door theme for the Kansas City Chiefs this draft season. As we continue to count down the days, mock drafters continue to release their views on what direction each NFL franchise will be going when they hear they are on the clock.

Given the Chiefs saw troubling signs from the offensive line in their Super Bowl loss, multiple mock drafts see Kansas City fixing those troubles. While it still is difficult to predict who will be available with the No. 31 pick, the consensus still lies with the front office taking an offensive lineman.

In a recently released mock draft by Kyle Crabbs of the 33rd Team, the Chiefs once again address the offense by adding offensive lineman Kelvin Banks Jr from Texas. Banks is projected to be a first round draft pick, and luckily for the Chiefs in this version of a mock draft, Banks will be taking his talents to Kansas City.

"Kansas City got outmatched by Philadelphia's defensive front in the Super Bowl. The last time that happened to the Chiefs in a championship game, they came out swinging aggressively to rework the line," Crabbs wrote.

"Jaylon Moore isn't necessarily a big-fish free agent, although he was paid handsomely. Getting Kelvin Banks Jr. to help fortify the unit puts the Chiefs back in a position to control the line of scrimmage as they replace Joe Thuney and brace to potentially part ways with Jawaan Taylor after the season."

Banks was named a consensus All-American last season for the Longhorns, only adding to why the Chiefs would make a strong selection should they pick up Banks. Projected to be a plus starter within his first two seasons in the league, the Chiefs would only benefit from having Banks on the roster.

At six feet five inches, Banks has shown incredible athleticism for the Longhorns throughout his collegiate career, as he does his job strongly when it comes to protecting his quarterback. Given Chiefs' quarterback Patrick Mahomes got sacked the most in his career last season, that can only be music to his ears.
